Helping others


 
 

Volunteering

 

All of us are blessed; nowadays we live better lives than kings and queens in previous centuries. Nevertheless, we are not allowed to forget that others may not be that blessed. Many children all around the world do not have the childhood they deserve - they suffer because of violence, poverty and hunger. I know that most of you will now have pictures of African Kids in their mind but there are suffering infants in Europe as well and that is the reason for my wish to do some volunteering work; and not to forget there are many other things in the world that need our help!!


There are several programs in Austria that allow you do go abroad as a volunteer. They include programs about the environment, teaching children in poor countries, being a caretaker at summer-camps, building accommodation, natural-disaster-help and many many more things.


I would love to go abroad as a volunteer. I love to help people and I want to make the world a little bit better. I was searching the web the last time and I currently deciding between some agencies and programs. There is so much I would like to do and I think that it is a great to take part in such programs.
All of us should try to help others and it does not matter if you help a friend, a neighbour or someone you do not even know many kilometres away. The only thing that counts is that you do something for a better world.

Summer recipes

Summer is the most beautiful time of the year and when you dinne
 
with friends it is even better.

As I wanted to give a 'goodbye-dinner' for a friend, I searched the
 
web in order to find yummi, easy and marvellous recipes. While
 
surfing the web, I came across some really cool sites.
 
There were three I especially liked:
 
The first one is called allrecipes (www.allrecipes.com). There you
 
can find a wide range of delicious recipes. Mostly, you can find

healthy food recipes , which I definetely prefer. I am of the

opinion that you should try to eat healthy - not low-carb or

low-calories , just healthy. You should  not be counting your

daily intake of food, because being healthy is something really

important.

The next one I was fascinated by is 'the taste of

home' (www.thetasteofhome.com). This website offers many healthy

recipes as well  - I will definetely try to make a high-fibre

burger!

For the perfect drink I was fascinated by the third webpage I found.

This one is called 'eating well' (www.eatingwell.com). 

Maybe you like them as much as I do - cooking and drinking are great

and even better when combined with friends, summer and a fun evening

outdoors.
