Macbeth

Fair is foul, and foul is fair

Yes - I do post many entries about books, but what's better than a good book??
I have recently finished the Shakespeare's classic Macbeth and I am impressed.
This book may be hard to read at first but if you see the coherences with German it gets easier.

The book Macbeth was written in 1606 and deals with leadership, fraud and murder.
It is a thrilling and unputdownable book.  I like it so much because Macbeth seems to get crazy and cannot really live with the things he had done.  Personally, I like the witches best even though they do not appear too often.

(If you want a summary of the book go to : http://www.sparknotes.com/shakespeare/macbeth/summary.html )

I love the smell, the taste and the feeling you get while eating a piece of fresh baked bread.

Jane Austen

 Jane Austen

Have you ever heard of Jane Austen ? I bet you did. She was an English novelist who wrote romantic fiction books but still managed to write about social problems of her century. She was born in 1775 in Hampshire, England. She was raised in a men's world and tried to write books that change the world. Mostly she wrote about strong women, which didn't rely on men or marriage. With her words she described society and people of her time perfectly. Jane Austen had never been married, although there were several men in her life. My favourite book of her is "Pride & Prejudice", because this book is so lovely written in every single word.
"The person, whether it be a gentleman or a lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid!" Jane Austen, Northanger Abbey.
( Northanger Abbey was the first book completed for publication by Jane Austen).

The great Gatsby

A great book, an even greater writer

"The great Gatsby' is a book classic of F. Scott Fitzgerald. It was written in the 1920's and is still one of the best books world wide. Famous and important writers thought and still think of this book as a masterpiece. I just can stress that this book is as good as writers and critics claim it to be. I have started to read this book recently and love it ever since. This book is well written and makes you feel like being a part of it. I am in favor of this book because it deals with problems of the 'roaring twenties'. I really recommend this book to anyone who likes to read good, solid books that actually mean something and try to make a change.
